Lesson 1 Intro Photo


Aim: to get a fundamental understanding of the dates and times of the history of photography.

Objectives: You will
1 watch the opening 20 mins of the genius of photography
2 create a new blog for your photojournalism work.
3 list and discuss some key photographers and photography inventions

Tasks

1 take notes for your blog post at the end of the session on the opening 20mins of "the genius of Photography"

2 Create a new blog for photojournalism, ensure that you link it to the tutors blog, remember the blog should not contain any personal details like, Your surname, age, address or email address.

3 Create a time line in publisher or word detailing a brief history of photography, this should contain some of the following

First dates for (include illustrations if available)
the invention of the daguerreotype
the patent for the Kodak roll-film camera
the first photographic camera
the first leica camera
the first digital camera

as well as some key photographers and at least on photograph from their work.

At the end of today’s lessons you will write up a summary on of the elements looked at today.
